Are you a Tribal leader or senior staff interested in learning more about data centers and the potential they hold for Tribal economic and energy development?
Join the DOE Tribal Data Center Exploration Cohort! The cohort will consist of Tribal leaders and senior staff who will move through online conversations together, learning from DOE, industry experts, and one another. The conversations will culminate in a fall convening with developers.
The goal of this initiative is to set Tribes up for successful and constructive discussions about data center development and partnerships within the Tribe and with industry.
Online conversations will cover topics like:
- Understanding the data center life cycle from concept to completion
- How DOE resources can support decision-making, siting, partnership development, and more
- Exploring various revenue sharing and ownership models and securing capital
- Risk assessment and mitigation strategies for financial viability
- Benefits, challenges, and best practices
- Identifying your Tribe's assets and resources for data center development
- Key questions to ask potential data center developers.
The cohort is open to all Tribes and does not constitute a commitment to building or hosting a data center, just an interest in better understanding this new area of investment.
