“I am pleased to announce that Kyle Haustveit has been confirmed by the Senate and sworn in as Under Secretary of Energy. Kyle has served as a key leader at the Department as Assistant Secretary of the Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Energy Office, where he managed an extensive portfolio including oil, coal, natural gas and geothermal energy, as well as overseeing the National Energy Technology Laboratory. His leadership has strengthened our work to deliver affordable, reliable and secure energy to the American people.
“As part of today’s announcement, I am also delighted to announce that Alex Fitzsimmons will serve as Associate Deputy Secretary of Energy and Senior Advisor to the Secretary. Alex has been an instrumental leader at the Department, stepping up to serve as Acting Under Secretary of Energy, and his expertise will remain vital as we continue advancing President Trump’s bold energy agenda.”
