In a final rule published on September 28, 2023, DOE adopted energy conservation standards for DPPPMs, which, among other things, included a variable-speed control design requirement for small and standard size DPPPMs. In an exercise of its enforcement discretion, DOE will delay enforcement activities with respect to distribution in commerce of a small-size DPPPMs manufactured on or after September 28, 2027, but before March 26, 2029.
