DOE ordered Haier US Appliance Solutions, Inc. d/b/a GE Appliances (“GE Appliances”) to pay a $500,000 civil penalty after GE Appliances had manufactured and distributed in commerce in the U.S. multiple units of the noncompliant GE Appliances central air conditioner and central air conditioning heat pump basic models [AZ95E09DAC, AZ95E18DAC, AZ95H09DAC, AZ95H12DAC, AZ95H09EAC, AZ95H12EAC, AZ95H18DAC, AZ95H18EAC, AZ9VH12DBM, AZ9VH12EBM, and AZ95E12DAC]. The Order adopted a Settlement Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and GE Appliances.
