Summary
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Loan Programs Office (LPO) has re-published an Environmental Assessment (EA) prepared to support a prior Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) hydropower license amendment process, and has issued a signed Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI). The EA discloses the environmental impacts associated with providing potential financial assistance (a federal loan guarantee) for the Oliver Generating Units 1-4 Upgrade Project (Project). The Project is located on the Chattahoochee River north of Columbus in Muscogee County, Georgia.
