August 14, 2025Rainwater accumulates in the containment dike of the 782-2M Purge Water Disposal Station (PWDS) tank. Currently, rainwater is pumped back to the PWDS tank for treatment at the M-1 Air Stripper. This process is now deemed unnecessary, as discharging rainwater directly to the ground is safe, allowing for natural absorption. This EEC permits this direct discharge, provided that inspection records confirm the water is not contaminated, with no oily sheen or discoloration, and its pH level is checked.
