OBU-H-2019-0454, Rev. 1: EEC revised to extend the project end date to 2026. The existing Seismic Detection Subsystem and a Tritium Confinement Subsystem (STCS) was designed in the late 1980's to confine tritium in seismically qualified vessels to prevent a large tritium release that could challenge the site boundary dose limit of 25 rem during a DBE. Historically this system was classified as a Safety Class (SC) system (formerly Nuclear Safety [NS]). The STCS was later downgraded to a PS-DID system. Savannah River Tritium Enterprise (SRTE) is pursuing its original functional classification of SC.
