WAPA proposes to replace dampers associated with tower 116/2 on the Cottonwood-Roseville transmission line and transport linemen to tower 116/1 for a routine tower inspection, both actions addressed by previous environmental analysis. To aid in this process, a nearby helicopter landing zone was selected which is off of WAPA's right-of-way (ROW). Off-ROW areas have not previously been analyzed for environmental effect. The proposed landing zone is located in the vicinity of a heavily disturbed quarry area.
