The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to Forest Preserve District of DuPage County (FPDDC) to install energy efficient windows and doors and a geothermal field at the Willowbrook Wildlife Center (constructed in 2022) in Glen Ellyn, Il. The installation of these systems would provide the wildlife center the ability to become energy net zero. Windows, doors, and the geothermal field will be installed as part of an overall facility improvement and expansion plan.
