The reason for the change is due to the existing 3/4" blowdown being used to release water from the cooling tower basin being undersized for its intended purpose. Introducing a larger diameter pipe with a motor operated valve and control panel input will allow for more flow and less manual valve operation. Per POC released water from the basin goes to A-01 Outfall.
