The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the Electric Power Research Institute, Incorporated (EPRI), to enhance solar photovoltaic (PV) circularity across the value chain; i.e., improve PV panel lifespans, monitor for defects, and improve the component recycling process. Project activities would consist of data analysis, technical advice, laboratory operations, and the operation of solar facilities, and would occur over three budget periods (BPs).
