CX-033006: Oregon State University -- AMPERE - Advanced Materials for Plasma-Exposed Robust Electrodes - VCMs (volumetrically complex materials)

Funding will support the project team's small-scale research and development activities of plasma-favorable electrode materials to ultimately lead to more durable and practical fusion devices that operate more efficiently and at a much lower cost. Specifically, the project team will (1) model and manufacture at least two volumetrically complex materials (VCM) designs; (2) test and validate VCM designs for performance and function; and (3) adjust and refine VCM designs for final performance validation and production for use in future applications.
