The new year has brought some new changes for the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Energy Technology Engineering (ETEC) team at the Santa Susana Field Laboratory (SSFL).

One of the most notable changes is the new Secretary of Energy, Chris Wright, who was confirmed for the position on February 3.

In January, the ETEC team moved into its new office located in Suite 108 at 980 Enchanted Way. DOE was able to find a new space in Simi Valley close to SSFL and remain part of the community we serve.

We are excited to see you at our upcoming public scoping meeting for our Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement. For more details on the meeting and the public scoping process, read more in this issue.

We look forward to staying connected with our stakeholders as we continue to move forward on cleanup progress at SSFL.

Sincerely,
Dr. Josh Mengers
