The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) seeks to support the vital role of Tribal Nations and Tribal collaboratives in offshore wind energy decision-making processes. Tribal Nations have called for additional resources to support Tribal capacity to engage in offshore wind energy development, this program will provide funding, technical assistance, and resources like the capacity accelerator website, offering users details, updates, webinar recordings and frequently asked questions.

The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) released the capacity accelerator in part to help Tribal Nations engage with the volume of requests in offshore wind processes, ensuring their perspectives are represented in the planning and development of related projects. Learn more and share your ideas for the design of the accelerator in the informational webinar available on December 11, 2024.
