Jessica Kunkle is NNSA’s Acting Associate Administrator for the Office of Infrastructure. She brings over 15 years of diverse experience, spanning infrastructure, nonproliferation, procurement, and budgeting. In her current role, Ms. Kunkle is charged with modernizing the Nuclear Security Enterprise to support the agency’s vital national security missions. Her passion for innovation, agility, and delivering results have enabled her to push the boundaries of NNSA’s real property acquisition strategy and accelerate infrastructure modernization via bold, proactive streamlining and non-traditional delivery approaches.
During her NNSA tenure, Ms. Kunkle has held diverse leadership roles, including Manager of the Environmental Management Los Alamos Field Office, Deputy Associate Administrator for Infrastructure Lifecycle Management, and Acting Manager of NNSA’s Savannah River Field Office. She also led agency-wide improvement initiatives in the NNSA Program Executive Office and helped to secure vulnerable nuclear materials and radiological facilities around the world in the Office of Global Threat Reduction.
Ms. Kunkle is originally from Los Alamos, New Mexico, and earned degrees in Marketing, Operations, and International Management from the University of New Mexico.
