CONNECT Toolkit (BETA)

The Carbon Management Projects (CONNECT) Toolkit is an online exploratory visualization tool that provides the public with a single point of access to authoritative information on federally funded projects with links to more details on each project. It includes a portfolio of federal research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) projects that have been publicly announced to advance technologies for point source carbon capture, carbon dioxide removal, transport, storage, and conversion, collectively referred to as carbon management.

The RD&D projects included in CONNECT Toolkit are either completed, ongoing, or are currently under award negotiation. The projects included are supported by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM), Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED), Advanced Research Projects Agency–Energy (ARPA-E), and Industrial Efficiency and Decarbonization Office (IEDO), as well as the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA).

Currently in its BETA version, CONNECT Toolkit is under continuous development. Changes will be gradually incorporated to improve project coverage, platform functionality, and user experience.

Information Included in CONNECT Toolkit

CONNECT Toolkit includes the location and other details of publicly announced and federally funded carbon management research, development, and demonstration projects:
