This funding supports the High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) Availability Program activities directed in section 2001 of the Energy Act of 2020, including supporting the establishment of a diverse, market-based supply chain for HALEU. The HALEU Availability Program is essential to the demonstration and commercial deployment of advanced reactors, including two demonstration projects that received approximately $2.5 billion in funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
