Funding will support the project team's small-scale research and development activities to develop hexagonal boron nitride (BN) fast neutron detectors (FND) for energies up to tens of megaelectronvolts (MeV) which will will possess unique advantages of compact size, high gamma rejection ratio, low voltage operation, and low fabrication and maintenance costs.
