Western Area Power Administration-Upper Great Plains Region issued a draft EA for Thunderhead Wind Energy Center Interconnection Project (DOE/EA-2174), which assesses the potential environmental impacts of the proposed interconnection of the existing Thunderhead Wind Energy Center to WAPA’s existing Grand Island-Fort Thompson 345-kilovolt (kV) transmission line.
