Acting NNSA Administrator to give keynote address

WASHINGTON – The Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) will be participating in the Nuclear Deterrence Summit starting from the pre-conference workshop Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021, to the conclusion of the event Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021.

Dr. Charles Verdon, Acting NNSA Administrator, will deliver the keynote address Tuesday, Aug. 3.

NNSA is playing a significant role in the Nuclear Deterrence Summit with featured speakers and panelists providing the latest updates on the agency’s work in maintaining the nuclear stockpile, stopping proliferation, and building and maintaining the infrastructure of the Nuclear Security Enterprise.
