Today, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded a non-competitive financial assistance renewal grant (DE-EM0005227) to the Savannah River Site Community Reuse Organization (SRSCRO), a non-profit agency.

Cincinnati – Today, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded a non-competitive financial assistance renewal grant (DE-EM0005227) to the Savannah River Site Community Reuse Organization (SRSCRO), a non-profit agency.  Under the grant, titled “Workforce Opportunities in Regional Careers I (WORC I)”, the SRSCRO will continue to ensure that local citizens in the Savannah River Site (SRS) two-state region have opportunities to develop skills needed for careers relevant to DOE-EM and NNSA missions, particularly those at the SRS. The total estimated value of the grant is $5,000,000 for five budget periods.
