California Community Colleges Webinar

On September 18, 2020, Erick Hunt, OTT Commercialization Executive, was a guest speaker on a webinar hosted by California Community Colleges. He was joined by Beth McCormick of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Noel Blackburn of Brookhaven National Laboratory. This webinar was coordinated by- and intended for- faculty from four industry sectors - Energy, Construction & Utilities (ECU), Advanced Transportation & Logistics, Advanced Manufacturing, and Information Communications & Technology (ICT) - spanning across all of California's 115 community colleges. The purpose of the webinar was to 1) expose and introduce faculty to the DOE/National Laboratory toolkit and resources and 2) identify student-outcome partnership opportunities, such as mentorships, internships, events and grant funding, including best practices and practical next steps for those interested. There were 50 attendees.
