ORSSAB concurs with the EMSSAB recommendation to DOE to improve how it tracks and shares cleanup milestones.

Twice a year, all Site Specific Advisory Board officers from around the country meet in an EMSSAB Chairs conference. They discuss matters relevant to all the sites as a whole and may make recommendations as a body. At the May 2019 EMSSAB Chairs Meeting in South Carolina, the chairs approved recommendations on EM's Review of Cleanup Milestones, which were in part based on a report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office, "DOE Should Take Actions to Improve Oversight of Cleanup Milestones" (GAO-19-207).
ORSSAB voted and concurred on the recommendation at its August Annual Planning Meeting.
