The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) proposes to drill a 1,000-foot deep geotechnical corehole (USGS 138) into the eastern Snake River Plain aquifer. The purpose of this geotechnical borehole is to obtain geologic, stratigraphic, and hydraulic data to characterize flow in the eastern Snake River Plain aquifer.
