DOE Releases Expression of Interest for the Long-Term Storage and Management of Elemental Mercury Services

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) for long-term storage and management of elemental mercury services.

Cincinnati -- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) for long-term storage and management of elemental mercury services.
EM is currently in the acquisition planning phase for a potential upcoming procurement to perform tasks related to the potential long-term storage and management of elemental mercury. The services to be acquired are for storage of domestic elemental mercury as required under the Mercury Export Ban Act, and as amended by the Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act.


This EOI is being issued to solicit input via capability statements from interested parties with the specialized capabilities necessary to meet all or part of the major elements of scope for long-term storage and management of elemental mercury.


The EOI will be available via FedConnect (https://www.fedconnect.net ). The reference/Solicitation Number is 89303318NEM000007.
