Sandia National Laboratories/New Mexico (SNL/NM) proposes to use a technique called Gas Filter Correlation (GFC) radiometry (a remote sensing technique) to detect Hydrogen Fluoride (HF) gas in the troposphere. This research and development project would use gas cells containing HF gas as a differential spectroscopy standard, from which to compare a spectral measurement of the atmosphere.
