The State of Michigan will provide $200,000 of Recovery Act funds to Polar Seal Windows to establish the capability to manufacture a new energy efficient frame for windows. Polar Seal intends to replace PVC (polyvinyl chloride) or aluminum-based window frames that are energy intensive to produce and less-well insulated with a wood plastic composite.
