Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant for: The County will implement selected retrofit measures identified in audits conducted in July 2008 and February 2010. The Courthouse retrofits include energy efficient lighting upgrades, building envelop improvements, adding pipe insulation to heating pipes, installing Environmental Management System, installing an economizer in the server room, replacing 11 old units with energy efficient window Air Conditioning units. The Regional Communications Center retrofits include the installation of energy efficient lighting, and economizer, and heat recovery ventilation and pipe insulation. The Somerset County University of Maine Cooperative Extension Office retrofits include the installation of energy efficient lighting, building envelop improvements, boiler and appliance replacements, and solar electric installation. A project manager cost include $10,000.
