The state of Idaho (ID) receives funding from the Department of Energy (DOE) to conduct independent oversight and monitoring of DOE-ID operations. Oversight activities and monitoring actions that will be conducted by the state of Idaho include general project management and administrative actions, data management, providing information to the public, emergency response coordination, and environmental surveillance. Environmental surveillance objectives include collecting and analyzing air, water, soil, milk and other environmental samples.
