Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. The City of Maricopa will purchase three solar compactors. The compactors are self-powered using solar power for 100% of its energy needs. The unit takes up as much space as the "footprint" of an ordinary receptacle but its capacity is greater. Maricopa proposes to place two solar compactors at Pacana Park, the City's only public park and the future park and ride location.
