The Department of Energy National Nuclear Security Administration, proposes to demolish Building 12-2B and reduce the Pantex Plant footprint by 3,181 square feet. Project tasks include preparing and approving Planning Documents, removing building furnishings and contents, cutting, capping, and rerouting utilities associated with the structure, reworking/closing masonry wall at door opening, recycling uncontaminated concrete and metal, disposing of waste, and backfilling and restoring the area with standard Number 67, poorly graded, smooth aggregate. The proposed activity site is within the industrialized area of the plant.
