Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program. The goal of this strategy is to reduce energy consumption to minimize the municipalities carbon footprint and to save tax payers money. The township proposes to hire a technical consultant service to produce a detailed report to identify appropriate environmental goals for the project. Based on the report, the township engineer and the technical support will determine which energy cm will be implemented into the municipal buildings bases on energy savings and environmental goals. To date, the Township of Manchester has not used any EECBG funds to develop a strategy, however, the city has applied the total allocation to its technical services and retrofits projects.
