For the Automotive Technology Lab, the college will renovate an existing classroom and lab on campus. The College will purchase three alternative fuel vehicles and a Toyota Prius cutaway training model with corresponding training software. The College will install a vehicle dynamometer for testing vehicle performance along with other diagnostic equipment, scan tools and Information Technology equipment as well as a 5.5 kilowatt Direct Grid-Tie Solar Photovoltaic System. The solar panels will be installed outdoors (ground mounted), adjacent to the Automotive Technology Center.
