The Department of Energy is proposing federal funding to the recipient to design, construct, commission, and operate a district energy combined heat and power (CHP) system to provide heat to State and city facilities. The City of Montpelier proposes to replace an existing boiler plant and construct and operate a new oil-fueled boiler plant, a new wood-fueled CHP system, and a new steam delivery system.
