Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. 1) Acquisition of technical services to support completion of the initial application (completed) and hire a part-time technical consultant/sustainability coordinator to conduct energy efficiency and conservation workshops, training, and education, and perform other program-related work; 2) implementation of a home energy audit incentive program to encourage homeowners to conduct home energy audits; 3) performance of energy efficiency and conservation retrofits on identified municipal facilities (lighting; boiler pump motor replacement; occupancy sensors, well pump motors, washers, elevator drives, drive motors, and hot water heater replacement; ceiling tile replacements; and install urinal sensors); 4) computer management system installation at City Hall; 5) heating, ventilation, and air conditioning retrofits to identified city facilities; 6) weatherization upgrades to identified city facilities; 7) acquisition of technical services to conduct greenhouse gas audits of 20 municipal facilities and fleet vehicles (ongoing); 8) installation of energy efficient lighting on the downtown bridges; and 9) bicycle path retrofits and painting.
