The Kansas Corporate Commission will provide $1,000,000 of State Energy Program (SEP) Recovery Act funding to the Kansas Energy Office for use with the Facility Conservation Improvement Program (FCIP) which energy savings performance contracting in public buildings. Using the established Efficiency Kansas network of Partner Lenders, this program would establish a revolving loan fund for performance contracting projects. Funds would be provided to lenders at no- to low-interest. Interest would be capped, providing access to low-cost financing for the public entities to fund a performance contract.
