HB-Line is planning on installing fire water standpipes to the stairwells to provide a connection for the fire department without the need to open the exterior doors of the facility. The standpipe will either be connected to the dry pipe system from the outside of the building, or tapped directly from the existing sprinkler system. The standpipe will meet all regulations in National Fire Protection Association 13, NFPA 14 and Site Standard 01120. There are no potential environmental impacts to the surrounding area.
