The County of Fairfax proposes to use $238,540 of Department of Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funds to support a Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV's) project. Funds will be used to cover the incremental difference in cost between standard fleet vehicles and HEV's when purchasing new fleet vehicles for use by the County. The utilization of HEV's will decrease greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and reduce volumes of fossil fuel consumption.
