The proposed project will investigate the effect of solar radiation, simulated by a high intensity light source, on photoactive devices and photocatalysts. The goal of the project is to establish a photoactive catalyst to efficiently reduce carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide or simple hydrocarbons, and mitigated the release into the atmosphere.
