The materials that HB-Line will be processing in the KIS DE3013 Campaign contain chlorine as an impurity. The materials in the campaign will be processed in "charges" in Phase I (Scrap Recovery Facility) of HB-Line. If a given charge of material contains greater than 3000 parts per million of chlorine, it will be considered to be a "high chlorine" charge. Before processing, the chlorine concentration in "high chlorine" charges will be reduced by subjecting the charge to the Vacuum Salt Distillation Process. Then HB-Line will process the charge in the Phase I dissolvers. Charges containing less than 3000 parts per million of chlorine are considered to be "low chlorine" charges and are addressed in EEC #CBU-H-2011-000012.
