This environmental checklist supercedes and cancels EC INL-10-071, "MFC-752 AL -- Replace Sodium/NDA Stack Monitor -- EJ-410." The scope of work described in EC INL-10-071 was never completed and has changed. The Analytical Laboratory (AL) sodium wing stack monitoring system for Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) building 752 (MFC-752) does not sample isokinetically. The system samples the exhaust from the stack by pulling a sample of the exhaust through a filter paper. This filter paper is used for annual reporting of actual emissions. The proposed action would redesign the sampling system to allow isokinetic sampling of the exhaust and would install sample ports and inspection ports as necessary. The proposed modification will replace the pumping and sampling system and will modify the stack structure.
