DOE proposes to conduct continued routine activities such as maintenance actions and property lease renewals, as well as improvement/replacement actions and subsurface investigations at the Grand Junction Regional Airport calibration model facility. DOE completed Environmental Checklists LM 10-05 in 2005 for improvement/replacement actions and LM 44-11 in 2011 for maintenance actions and property lease renewals. This Environmental Checklist LM 02-17 updates the evaluation of potential impacts for these types of actions, and also evaluates conducting site characterization and cleanup actions associated with improving the concrete surface of the five calibration test pads and surrounding asphalt surface.
