Modernization of Facilities and Infrastructure for the Non-Nuclear Production Activities Conducted at the Kansas City Plant

The General Services Administration (GSA) and DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) jointly issued a mitigation action plan for mitigation commitments for a proposal, analyzed in DOE/EA-1592, to relocate certain non-nuclear component production and procurement activities conducted at NNSA’s Kansas City Plant to a smaller new facility.

For more information, see Modernization of Facilities and Infrastructure for the Non-Nuclear Production Activities Conducted at the Kansas City Plant.

  • Based on the analysis in the Environmental Assessment prepared for the proposal by the GSA and NNSA, neither the construction nor operation of the selected alternative wouldhave significant environmental impact. This MAP contains mitigation and monitoring commitments for the project, including commitments set in permits for the new facility.
