Cincinnati -- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC) today issued an announcement to hold an Industry Day and One-on-One sessions October 24-26, 2016, and a Community Day on October 27, 2016, in support the upcoming procurement for the management and operation (M&O) of the Savannah River Site (SRS). The current SRS M&O contract, DE-AC09-08SR22470, with Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), expires on July 31, 2018 and is a major component of the overall SRS work scope and contracting structure.

The Industry Day and Community Day presentations will provide a site overview and technical discussion of the major elements of scope for the anticipated procurement, and encourage industry/community feedback to aid the Department in the development of the acquisition strategy. The 30-minute one-on-one sessions are provided as an opportunity for interested parties to present their thoughts and suggestions on the procurement.

DOE recognizes the importance of including the public and community stakeholders at an early stage of the process. Through the Community Day activities, the public and community stakeholders will have the opportunity to meet DOE and provide feedback to aid the Department in the development of the Acquisition Plan.

The Industry Day and Community Day activities will be held at the Doubletree Augusta Hilton Hotel on located at 2651 Perimeter Pkwy, Augusta, GA 30909. Full details for the event, including registration information, can be found on the procurement website listed below.

A Request for Information (RFI)/Sources Sought notice is anticipated for release one-week prior to the industry day and community forum activities.
