The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) in the U.S. Department of Commerce is preparing, with DOE as a cooperating agency, a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) that will analyze the potential environmental impacts of a proposal to design, deploy and operate the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network. This PEIS covers the Western United States.
