Under this Supplemental Proposed Determination DOE proposes that miscellaneous refrigeration products (MREFs), which include coolers (wine chillers and similar products) and combination cooler refrigeration products (products with a warm-temperature compartment combined with a refrigerator and/or freezer compartment), qualify as a covered product under Part A of Title III of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), as amended, and thus would be appropriate for energy conservation standards. This Supplemental Proposed Determination does not propose test procedures or energy conservation standards for MREFs. This Supplemental Proposed Determination is procedural.
