The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the Clean Energy States Alliance to make solar energy technology more inclusive, affordable, and consumer friendly by helping states and municipalities to improve consumer information, implement consumer protection measures, and add or upgrade programs and policies that reduce solar energy financing and acquisition costs.
Activities associated with the proposed project would include preparation of written materials, hosting of online webinars and training sessions, desk top research, facilitation and hosting of in-person training, and management of project activities. The proposed project would be limited exclusively to intellectual, academic, or analytical activities and would use no physical materials beyond basic office supplies and software.
