The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to the Nevada Department of Administration to construct an electric vehicle (EV) charging station. The proposed project is part of the Nevada Electric Highway Project, and the Valley Electric Association as the sub-recipient would be responsible for the installation of the charging station. The charging station would be comprised of one to three pedestal type chargers and would be installed in an existing parking lot. The charger would include one DC Fast Charger, and either one dual-port Level 2 Charger or two single-port Level 2 Chargers. The EV charging station would be approximately 1-4' by 2'-4' wide by 5' - 6' tall.
