National Laboratory of the Rockies Documents

The National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) bridges research with real-world applications to advance energy technologies that lower costs, boost the economy, strengthen security, and ensure abundant energy. NLR's research focuses on a range of technologies and breakthroughs from critical minerals and advanced materials to grid reliability, manufacturing, transportation, and the energy systems that power modern life.

NLR is a government-owned, contractor-operated (GOCO) facility, and is funded and overseen by the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation (CMEI). This contractual arrangement allows a private entity to operate the lab on behalf of the federal government under a Management and Operating (M&O) contract. Learn more about NLR.

FOIA requests for records held at NLR are handled by the Golden FOIA Office.
