The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide funding to the Department of Natural Resources for the State of Louisiana to replace aging constant speed pumps at the Terrytown #2 wastewater pump station with newer units that utilize variable frequency drives and flow-based controls in order to achieve energy cost reductions, reduced sewer overflows, and improved reliability.
